Free Workshop on Applying for Sacramento Film Grants Set for October 22

Filmmakers, both new and seasoned, are encouraged to attend a complimentary workshop aimed at teaching them the application process for City of Sacramento film grants. This workshop, titled ‘Understanding Sacramento’s Film Grants,’ will take place on Thursday, October 22, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Futures Explored, located at 2533 R St.

The session will provide valuable insights on the application process and essential information that filmmakers need to prepare. Sacramento Film Commissioner Jennifer West emphasized the importance of empowering local filmmakers, stating, ‘Behind every film project are people hiring crew members, finding locations and working with local businesses.’ The City’s film grant program, supported by Measure U, aims to encourage film and television projects that will boost production activity and spending in Sacramento.
